The meeting was convened to celebrate AAP's decision to increase the salaries of the teachers but instead, it turned into a chaos. The teachers not only walked off the meeting but also blocked the main road in front of gate 3 of the stadium for more than an hour. Later the police had to be called to disperse the crowd using water cannons.
The CM minister began his speech by appreciating Manish Sisodia-the Deputy CM, who also holds the education portfolio of the state amid loud cheers from the teachers.
The Chief Minister said that guest teachers working in schools were treated like bonded labourers by the Congress government. If it is required, he will personally meet the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi to implement the hike soon. Lots of problems are being created towards making the post of guest teachers permanent. But the Government will do that as soon as possible.

After the ministers left the stage, a large number of guest teachers assembled at the venue started shouting slogans against the CM and the Government. The CM also promised to take steps towards making the post of guest teachers permanent. Deputy CM Sisodia said the first step towards the regularisation of their posts has already been taken. Besides CM and Deputy CM, Satyendar Jain Home Minister of the state was also present at the event.
