The detailed admission notification for the undergraduate programmes offered by Delhi University (DU) is available here. The DU admission process for the session 2018-19 began from 15th May 2018. The Delhi University admission form last date is 7th June 2018. The first cut-off list will be announced around June 19 to 21. Check all DU Admissions 2018 Important Dates here.

The University of Delhi usually commences its admissions after the CBSE board exams are over. However, this time, the DU admission process 2018 was initiated in advance. DU will reduce the number of cut-offs and has asked various affiliated colleges to release more realistic cut-offs. Experts stated that due to unrealistic Delhi University science, arts and commerce cut-offs, the admission process is dragged and the seats remain vacant even after releasing 10 cut-offs.

The university is stressing that colleges release realistic cut-offs so that the admission can be wrapped up after the fifth cut-off is out. DU has also announced that a special round of admission will be conducted for SC, ST and OBC students as seats in these categories often remain vacant after several cut-offs. More than 3 lakh students apply for various courses offered by the 77 colleges affiliated to the Delhi University every year.

The application process for DU will be conducted in an online mode. Some new features have been introduced in the DU Online Application Form 2018 that can be checked here. Aspiring students will not have to visit the university campus in order to apply for admissions as forms can be filled online from any part of the country.

Admission to programmes like B.Tech, BA (Hons.) Economics, BBA - FIA, BMS, BBS, etc. is done on the basis of an entrance exam. In order to appear for these entrance exams, it is important to secure the minimum percentage in 10+2 exams set by the university.
