Delhi University Launches Online Portal to Issue Digital Degree Certificates
Delhi University has launched an online portal to issue digital degree certificates to graduates who have successfully completed their course but are yet to receive the degree.
Delhi University has launched an online portal to issue digital degree certificates to previous year students, The news will come as a relief to all the students who have graduated from Delhi University till last year but were not issued a degree by DU for any reason.
Called the Delhi University Online Certificates System, the portal can be accessed by visiting digicerti.du.ac.in. DU pass outs who did not get their degrees can register on the portal and receive a digital copy of their degree certificates within a week via email.
How to Get a Digital Degree Certificate from Delhi University?
Students who want to get their digital degree certificate from Delhi University can follow these simple steps that are given below.
- Visit the DU Online Certificates System website at digicerti.du.ac.in
- Register by entering the required details such as email ID, password and mobile number.
- Verify by clicking on the verification link sent to the email.
- Log in to the portal using the created credentials.
- Create a request for a digital certificate by providing details such as the name of the college and details of their course.

Who is Eligible for a Digital Degree Certificate from Delhi University?
Students must note that the digital degree certificate will only be issued to any student who has successfully completed their academic programme from a college affiliated to DU. The student must also be eligible to receive a degree from DU for the competition of the said academic programme.
Students who have passed out from a DU affiliated college till last year and need their degree certificates on an urgent basis can now simply log in to the portal and get a digital degree issued within a week.
Why has DU created an Online Portal for Digital Degree Certificates?
DU has created this portal in response to a petition filed in the Delhi High Court by 21 doctors who had completed their MBBS programmes from University College of Medical Sciences, Lady Hardinge Medical College and Maulana Azad Medical College in 2017 and 2018. Delhi High Course directed DU to send a digital degree to the petitioners via email by 13 August.
