Harvard Dean Nitin Nohria to Guide Students of Mumbai University on Leadership
Dr. Nohria will speak on ‘Developing Leaders: Knowing, Doing and Being’.
Well known academician and Dean of Harvard Business School, Nitin Nohria will guide the students of Mumbai University on ‘Leadership’. The session will take place on December 21, 2016, at 5:45 PM in the Convocation Hall, Mumbai University.
Dr. Nohria will speak on ‘Developing Leaders: Knowing, Doing and Being’. He will be delivering a lecture as a part of Lecture Speak series which has been launched by Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai. Under this programme, Nohria’s speech is the first one in the series.

Nohria assumed the charge as Dean for Harvard Business School on July 1, 2010. He is the tenth Dean of the reputed business school and an Indian-American. He is regarded as the first foreign Dean for the prestigious Harvard Business School. In the year 2014, he acknowledged sexism on the campus and surprised everyone and conveyed his apologies.

He stated that he is conveying his apologies for all the women of Harvard Business Schools who were feeling that they were disrespected and unloved by the school. His speech in San Fransisco in the presence of 600 alumni became famous and had been widely noted in the business media. He assured the women on the campus that the B-School will work in an efficient way in encouraging women.
