Haryana Govt. to Set up New Polytechnics to Ensure 100% Placement

Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister of Haryana, revealed that the government is planning to set up new polytechnics which will be established under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The government will collaborate with leading industrial houses to set up new polytechnics, and the main aim of the government is to make students industry-ready along with ensuring 100% placement.

CM further announced that meritorious students who are from economically weaker sections and wish to study in private technical institutes would get 50% fees reimbursement by the state government. The institute will reimburse the rest of the 50% of fees under CSR or Corporate Social Responsibility.

For this purpose, the government directed the concerned officials to prepare criteria for the total number of students to be facilitated by the state government in getting admission in technical institutions that come under private sector.

CM held discussions with the officials of Technical Education Department and directed the officials to invite various reputed industrial houses to take the responsibility of running the polytechnics by forming societies. He assured that the state government would provide required infrastructure imperative to building the polytechnics.

He further stated that a total number of 13 new polytechnics would be set up by the state government out of which six polytechnics will be run by the state government and the rest by societies formed by various industrial houses.

Currently, there are 28 polytechnic colleges in the state. Additionally, the government is also planning to set up two new government engineering colleges.
