ICAI Placements: Rs. 17.5 Lakh Package Offered to Five CMA Candidates

TheICAI (Institute of Cost Accountants of India)has released the campus placement report of December 2017 session. The campus placement process for the batch of December 2017 was conducted at Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai and. The campus placement drive received an extraordinary response fromMNCs,PSUsand corporate houses of India.

ICAI conducts campus placement drive twice a year for newly qualifiedCMAs (Cost and Management Accountants).For June batch, the campus placement process takes place in October or November while the campus recruitment drive takes place in April or May for December batch.

Compared to other locations, the placement record of Delhi was impressive. A total number of 180 qualified CMAs appeared for the campus placements process. Out of them,67 CMAs (37%)secured jobs in top firms. For the first time, the highest package reached Rs. 17.5 lakh per annum in Delhi region.

Nationally (all four locations), the highest annual salary package offered was Rs. 18 lakh and the average salary package stood at Rs. 7 lakh per annum. More than 15% of candidates showed outstanding performance in placements with an annual salary package of Rs. 11 lakh to Rs. 18 lakh. A total number of 650 newly qualified CMAs across the country participated in the placements this year and 240 candidates were selected for jobs.
