Apollo Medskills andIndian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM Bangalore)will launch the second edition of GMHE or General Management for Healthcare Executives on August 7, 2017. The GMHE course consists of the academic expertise in management as well as healthcare competencies. The course is a combination of both managerial and technical expertise. The participants of the course will get a clear insight of the healthcare markets through this unique programme.

The classes for the GMHE programme will take place at IIM Bangalore campus. The institute will conduct classes in a synchronous mode through two-way video and audio along with auxiliary technologies. The course enables rich interaction between the faculty in IIM Bangalore and participants across the country. Field trips, live classes and out-of-class interaction are also a part of this programme.

Every year, GMHE programme of IIM Bangalore and Apollo Medskills has been attracting a large number of aspirants from various sections of the healthcare industry. The selection process is rigid as a selection committee conducts careful scrutiny of applications. During the selection process, the committee ensures adequate batch diversity with regard to the background as well as experience.
The selection process for the first batch of 35 participants was based on their profile and their acquaintance with the objectives of the programme. The average work experience of the participants was 10 years. All the participants were from various companies and reputed hospital chains like KIMS, Apollo Hospitals, Narayana Health Frost, M.S. Ramaiah Memorial Hospital and others.
