IIT Kharagpur Placements: VGSoM Students Bag 112 Offers
- Reputed companies like Deloitte, IBM, Wipro and HSBC made offers to VGSoM students with attractive packages.
- Computaris, an international company also recruited VGSoM students this season.
The placement process atVinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM), located on the campus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has turned out be fruitful so far. Reputed companies like Deloitte, IBM, Wipro and HSBC made offers to students with attractive packages. So far, various companies have offered 112 jobs to VGSoM students.
Giving details about the ongoing placement process for the academic session 2017-18, Dean of VGSoM, Professor Prabina Rajib explained that a total of 41 companies have visited the campus for recruiting students. Out of 112 offers made by these companies, 23 were PPOs (Pre Placement Offers). The ongoing placement season is almost ending, and more offers are expected, she concluded.

- Accenture Digital
Computaris, an international company also recruited VGSoM students this season. The highest international package offered was Rs. 27 Lakh per annum, while the highest domestic package was Rs. 20 Lakh per annum.

Over 25% of students bagged an annual package of Rs. 17.40 Lakh per annum, while 50% of students were offered an annual package of Rs. 15.40 Lakh per annum.
Consulting domain dominated the placements this year, followed by Analytics, Operations and General Management.
