IIT Mandi to Launch MBA in AI and Machine Learning

IIT Mandi is all set to start its new MBA course in AI and Machine Learning. This innovative programme is all set to bring about further technological advancements in India with the youth of the country opting for a course that deals with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, all very important parts of the technology and computer-driven world of the 21st century. This will also be a splendid opportunity for aspiring students who want to revolutionise the world of robotics in India.

IIT Mandi is one of the 8 new IITs established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India in 2009. It is located in Kamand, Mandi with an area of around 538 acres. IIT Mandi has 4 schools offering several courses. These include the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering, School of Basic Sciences, School of Engineering and School of Humanities and Social Sciences. IIT Mandi provides programmes such as undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and integrated programmes to aspiring students. Approved by the UGC and the AICTE, IIT Mandi has 29 courses in all at the moment. Soon, with the addition of the MBA course in AI and Machine Learning, the number of courses will be 30. Admission to IIT Mandi is through national level entrance tests namely JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA Counselling/ IIT JAM/ GATE/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ NBHM NET/ GRE. 

MBA in AI and Machine Learning is a postgraduate programme for a minimum of 2 years where students will learn all about the skills required to navigate an increasingly technology-driven world based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This course will deal with how AI technologies can be used to generate revenue and business opportunities when it comes to the world of industry, especially online business ventures of the day. The job opportunities for aspiring candidates include data scientist, statistician, data mining expert, software developer and so on. 

The Director of IIT Mandi has recently confirmed via Twitter that the new course is being launched with help from Professor Anjan Kumar Swain from IIT Kozhikode.
