Infosys Co-founder Believes that Majority of Jobs that Exist Today may not Exist in Future
Nandan Nilekani suggested that Indian economy has to lay more emphasis on domestic services and encourage platform aggregation so that jobs could be generated.
Nandan Nilekani, Infosys Co-Founder believes that the majority of jobs that exist today may not exist in future. To avoid this situation, India needs reskilling and an overhaul of the education system. The education system of India must give more emphasis on creativity and innovation so that a lot of new jobs are created.

He mentioned that learning is a continuous process and hence Indians have to acquire knowledge and skills continuously to boost up their career. The changes in the education system will undoubtedly generate a high number of employment opportunities in the coming years.
He further added that artificial intelligence, machine learning, bots and automation are happening both in software and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sectors. He mentioned that the future generations would see a lot more built on automation. Hence, the recruitment in this sector may not be as buoyant as it was a few years ago.
