International Centre of Pune University Gets ISO Certificate

International Centre (IC) which is also known as International Students Centre at Savitribai Phule Pune University has achieved the ISO 9001-2008 certification, a feat in its own right. It is one of the biggest achievements for the university. Director of IC, Mr. Vijay Khare revealed that the ISO Certification is a significant milestone. The achievement clearly indicates the efforts and efficiency in catering to the needs of the students.

The International Centre of Pune University deals with admission of international students as well as hosting foreign delegates and holding joint collaborations. The centre also acts as a coordinator by hosting international students from several nations. IC also holds interaction with government officials on the matters related to international students.

Vijay Khare further revealed that IC had achieved a reputation for its teaching and learning methodologies as well as evaluation of documents and records earlier. Now, ISO certification has been bagged by IC for three years.

He explained that IC has been working consistently for the past six months and figuring out various ways to adopt new changes. For example, IC had adopted a time-bound mechanism to deal with different student-related issues. For instance, if a student requires a bonafide certificate, he/she can get it within six days.

The change in the procedure and maintaining time-boundedness made the centre to achieve ISO Certificate. Now, the students get their issues or requirement sorted out within a limited time. The officials of the varsity expressed their happiness for the achievement and hoped for more awards and achievements in the coming years.
