Govt. Plans International Exchange Scheme for PG Medicos
Karnataka meritorious PG Medical and Dental students will get a chance to travel across the country that too free of cost. The government is planning to come up with a student exchange scheme.
Karnataka meritorious PG Medical and Dental students will get a chance to travel across the country that too free of cost. Dr K Sudhakar, Medical Education Minister Karantaka informed that the scheme is a part of an exchange programme which the government is planning.
He further informed that the exchange programme will be launched form 2020-21 academic year. He informed the same during his interaction with DH stating the plan is to provide meritorious students of the state with the best opportunities. The students will not only get the best clinical exposure and learn about the best methodology and techniques but will also gain knowledge about surgical apparatus.
According to him, this is an innovative programme and students will be first of its kind where students will travel across the globe to some of the best universities in the world. The medical students will not be required to pay anything for the respective exchange programme and the scholarship for the same will be funded through the department's resources.

The exchange programme will provide medical aspirants with an opportunity to enhance their skills and gain global exposure in the respective field. This, in the long run, will improve the quality of healthcare facilities in India. The exchange scheme is free of cost and will be funded by the respective department.
