IOCL invites applications for 1,535 Apprentice posts in the refineries at Digboi, Guwahati, and Bongaigaon in Assam and Vadodara (Gujarat), Barauni (Bihar), Mathura (UP), Haldia (West Bengal), Panipat (Haryana), and Paradip (Odisha). The minimum and maximum age limit for candidates appearing for the IOCL Apprentice post is 18 years and 24 years respectively. However, category-wise age relaxation is applicable for candidates, as shown in the table:
