JEE MAIN 2023: All aspirants have prepared hard for the exam that is to begin tomorrow, January 24, 2023. Hence, to avoid any on-time troubles, candidates must know beforehand all the important exam day guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency. If a candidate is found with incomplete documents or indulging in any malpractices, knowingly or unknowingly, then action will be taken against the candidate and his/her result might be withheld as well. Therefore, proper conduct is very important on JEE Main 2023 exam day.

Do’s on JEE Main January 2023 Exam Day

JEE Main 2023 exam day instructions that must be followed are listed here:

  • Reach the examination centre within the reporting time. For Shift 1, it is from 7:40 AM to 8:30 AM. For Shift 2, it is from 1:40 PM to 2:30 PM. After the gate closing time, no candidate will be allowed inside the exam centre.

  • Carry the exam day documents with you. The list is available here: JEE Main 2023 Documents Required on Exam Day.

  • A ballpoint pen must be carried along as well. The candidates also allowed to have a transparent water bottle and sanitizer bottle.

  • If appearing for Paper 2 B.Arch, bring your pencils, geometry box, colour pencils or crayons.

  • Scan the barcode on the admit card using the provided barcode scanner to know about your seat number and hall number.

  • Write your roll number (not application number) given on your admit card and your name on each of the rough sheets provided.

  • Submit the rough work sheets and admit card in the drop box before leaving the exam hall.

  • Maintain proper social distancing. Wear a mask.

Don’ts on JEE Main January 2023 Exam Day

The things that are not to be done on the exam day are given here. Candidates found guilty of these might be charged with malpractice.

  • Do not sign the undertaking downloaded with the admit card without the presence of an invigilator.

  • Do not bring any electronic devices such as calculators, digital watches, mobile phones, etc.

  • Avoid wearing clothing with large buttons, metal buckle belts, or shoes with thick soles.

  • For Paper 2 B.Arch, do not use water colours on the drawing sheet.

  • Do not talk with your peers during the examination. Directly ask the invigilator in case of any doubt.

  • Do not leave the examination hall until the test is over.
