Karnataka SSLC Results Likely to be Available on Mobile Phones
- School Education Board of Karnataka is planning to send the SSLC exam results to the mobile phones of parents.
- The proposal is yet to get the approval from the state government.
TheSecondary Education Board (SEB) of Karnatakais expected to make SSLC results available on the mobile phones of students this year. The board has already been successful in uploading the necessary data inSATS (Student Achievement Tracking System).SATS will have all the details of students including their pictures.
Director of SEB Karnataka, Sumangala revealed that the board had urgedNational Informatics Centreto develop software through which the entire results of students can be delivered to the mobile phones of their parents. Through this initiative, students need to visit internet cafes or browse the internet to check their results. As soon as the results are out, the results will be sent to mobile phones in the form of text message, she added.

Earlier, the results ofSSLC examswere used to be announced in the respective schools. The results were posted on the official website later.
According to sources, SEB Karnataka is yet to receive government’s approval for the new system of announcing exam results. If there are any technical glitches while sending results to the mobile phones, it could have adverse effects.

Unlike last year, students can download theadmit cards for SSLC examsfrom the official website. This year, there will be no manual distribution of admit cards. Students or school management can download the admit card from the SEB Karnataka website by using the surname and password. It is the responsibility of the school management to check all the details printed on the admit card.
