Karnataka Students to Soon be Introduced to Czech Education
Karnataka Government will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Republic of Czechoslovakia to promote skill training, internships and training programme for teachers between the two countries.
The Karnataka State Government and the Republic of Czechoslovakia are all set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with an aim to provide skill training, internships and training programme for teachers. Czech Republic officials are inclined to associate with the State Department of Higher Education - Karnataka on bilateral agreeing terms.
Around 106 centres of excellence of the Czech Republic are located in India. With respect to this Czech Republic reach, the officials of the nation want to have a signed MoU in respective fields including Agriculture, Defence, Education and Technology. Higher Education Minister of Karnataka Government, GT Devegowda said that the MoU would facilitate mutual dealings of availability of good jobs and training opportunities for Indian students under the Czech Republic. Officials of Czech Republic have agreed to set up Fabrication Laboratories (Fab Labs) in the Universities of the State where the students of affiliated and recognised institutions can come and avail the benefits.

The Minister revealed that the existing tie-ups between the Indian Government and Republic of Czechoslovakia on a number of initiatives related to Digital India and Make in India Swadeshi movements are an added advantage to the latest MoU. Mr. Devegowda also added that an investment of Rs. 1 billion has been made in Gujarat and Pune by the Republic of Czechoslovakia with the Government of India.

This initiative has been taken after the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the two nations regarding setting up of Skoodo Autos production plant where the technology will be from Czechoslovakia and about 90% of total production will take place in India.
