Karnataka TET 2021 will be conducted on August 22, and the hall ticket has been released. The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test or Karnataka TET or KARTET exam is conducted by the School Education Board of Karnataka. The aspiring candidates for KARTET should be familiar with the eligibility criteria, important dates, application process, syllabus & exam pattern of the Karnataka TET exam. Even though CTET is conducted on a national level, it is mandatory to appear for Karnataka TET to be eligible for the post of a teacher in government schools across Karnataka.

    Karnataka TET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the appointment of primary and upper primary teachers in government schools across the state. You must note that Karnataka TET is just an eligibility exam, and the candidates must clear Karnataka TET to appear for Teacher Recruitment Exam conducted by the state government.     Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka TET 2021

    Only eligible candidates from Karnataka state are allowed to apply for Karnataka TET 2021. The detailed Karnataka TET eligibility criteria below

    Age Limit: The lower age limit of the applicants should be 18 years, and the upper age limit will be around 35 to 40 years (relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to reserved category candidates).

    Karnataka TET 2021 Educational Qualification:

    Educational Qualification for Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)

    Educational Qualification for Upper Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8)

    • The minimum qualification required for the Primary Teachers is Intermediate (Class 12) with 50% marks (45% for categories).
    • Candidates must have passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education with at least 45 – 50% of marks.
    • Candidates pursuing final-year EIEd/ Bachelor of Elementary Education also eligible to apply for Karnataka TET 2021.
    • The minimum qualification required for Upper Primary Teachers is (A/ Sc/ Com/ Tech/ BBA etc.,) with at least 45% - 50% of qualifying marks.
    • The candidates must have passed Diploma in Elementary Education (EIEd/ Bachelor of Education (Ed) to be eligible for the post of Upper Primary Teacher.
    • Candidates pursuing final-year EIEd/ Ed are also eligible to appear for Karnataka TET 2021.

    Karnataka TET 2021 Cutoff

    Karnataka TET 2021 cutoff criteria for General and reserved categories is given below –

    Selection Procedure of Karnataka TET 2021

    Candidates who score the cut-off marks as mentioned above in Karnataka TET 2021 will be declared qualified. School Education Board of Karnataka will issue a Karnataka TET eligibility certificate to the qualified candidates. These candidates are eligible for the state-level teacher recruitment exam.

    Karnataka TET 2021 Answer Key

    Karnataka TET 2021 answer key will be released by the Centralised Admission Cell Bangalore and the answer key will be uploaded on the official website of the School Education Board of Karnataka. After checking the Karnataka TET 2021 answer key, candidates can raise objections if any. In order to raise objections, the candidates must enter the Application Number and Date of Birth.

    Result of Karnataka TET 2021

    Karnataka TET 2021 results will be released within 40 days after the exam. The results will be uploaded on the official website of the Karnataka School Education Board. Candidates can check the results with their admit card number/ hall ticket number. 

    Karnataka TET 2015 Results Issue

    The High Court of Karnataka had given clearance to its pending decision on Karnataka TET 2015 results issue. The court pointed out discrepancies in results and directed the exam authority to declare the revised list of qualified candidates. The revised list of qualified candidates has been uploaded on the official website, i.e., http://www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in/ With the court case in the clear, Karnataka TET has resumed again in 2018.
