School Education Board of Karnataka has announced that the last date for submitting the application form for Karnataka TET exam is December 25, 2018. Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka TET 2018

Only eligible candidates from Karnataka state are allowed to apply for Karnataka TET 2018. The detailed Karnataka TET 2018 eligibility criteria is elaborated below -

Age Limit: The lower age limit of the applicants should be 18 years, and the upper age limit will be around 35 to 40 years (relaxation in upper age limit will be given to reserved category candidates).

Karnataka TET 2018 Educational Qualification:

Educational Qualification for Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)

Educational Qualification for Upper Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8)

  • The minimum qualification required for the Primary Teachers is Intermediate (Class 12) with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
  • Candidates must have passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education with at least 45 – 50% of marks.
  • Candidates pursuing final-year D.EI.Ed/ Bachelor of Elementary Education are also eligible to apply for Karnataka TET 2018.
  • The minimum qualification required for Upper Primary Teachers is Bachelor’s degree (B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ B.Tech/ BBA etc.,) with at least 45% - 50% of qualifying marks.
  • The candidates must have passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed)/ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) to be eligible for the post of Upper Primary Teacher.
  • Candidates pursuing final-year D.EI.Ed/ B.Ed are also eligible to appear for Karnataka TET 2018.

Note: - The syllabus for Mathematics, Science and Social Studies will not be beyond school level. Therefore, the candidates must focus more on school syllabus from Class 6 to 10.

Result of Karnataka TET 2018

Karnataka TET 2018 results will be available at least 30 – 45 days after the date of exam. The results will be uploaded on the official website of Karnataka School Education Board. Candidates can check the results with their admit card number/ hall ticket number.

Selection Procedure of Karnataka TET 2018

The Validity of Karnataka TET 2018 Certificate

Karnataka TET 2018 certificate is valid for seven years. There is no limit on the number of attempts for Karnataka TET exam. Candidates can appear for the exam every year to improve their score.

The High Court of Karnataka has given its decision on Karnataka TET 2015 results issue, which has been pending in HC for many days.
