Kolkata: St. Xavier’s University Gets AICTE Approval to Begin MBA Course

St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata is all set to launch MBA course from the upcoming academic session (2018-19). Vice-Chancellor of the varsity, Dr. Felix revealed that AICTE has given the approval to begin MBA course from the new academic session. Xavier Business School (XBS) of St. Xavier’s University will offer MBA course.

The MBA course offered by XBS is a two-year full-time residential course. The business school will offer the following specialisations in the MBA course:

• Systems & Operations
• Human Resources
• Finance
• Marketing

XBS received approval from AICTE to offer MBA course to 120 students (60 per each batch for two batches). The XBS campus is well equipped with state-of-the-artinfrastructure including air-conditioned and smart classrooms. The amphitheatres in the new campus are ready. XBS will have a separate updated library, and students can access numerous online professional journals. A separate building has been constructed for the library, and it will be operational before the commencement of the new academic session.

XBS campus is also equipped with modern computer lab and language lab with an adequate number of computer terminals. The B-School will also have a separate hostel for boys and girls.

XBS has already finalised the syllabus, curriculum and admission process for the MBA course. Students will be enrolled on the basis of their score in XAT, CAT, GMAT and other popular MBA entrance exams. At present, XBS is engaged in recruiting the highly-qualified and experienced faculty members.
