KU Signs Pact with ICAR-CCRSI for Advancement in Research
Kurukshetra University has signed an MoU with ICAR-CSSRI for the development of research practices in academics of Environmental Science Strem. The Bright minds of KU will now be able to utilise modern labs of CSSRI Karnal.
The Institute of Environmental Studies,Kurukshetra Universityhas recently signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with ICAR’s Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI) with the aim of more developed and advanced research facilities. Students of various streams will be benefited from the collaboration. Students ofM.Sc Environmental Science, M.Tech Energy, and Environment Management and Ph.D. Research Scholars of KU.
The Ph.D. students will have an upper hand for research and dissertation on the topics of Environmental Science by researching using the laboratories in assistance with the scientists of CSSRI, Karnal.
There is already a presence of advance and modern-day research facilities and infrastructure including experimental farms in CSSRI which can be utilised by the bright minds of KU. Two institutes will also work hand-in-hand for research and academic excellence.
The Sign in the MoU was done in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of KU, Prof. Kailash Chandra Sharma; Director of CSSRI Karnal, Dr. PC Sharma; Dean of Academic Affairs (KU), Prof Manjula; Head of Soil and Crop Management (CSSRI) Dr. RK Yadav.

Prof Smita Chaudhari put light on the facts and figures of the projected benefits of the MoU signed between the two institutes. As the director of KU Environmental Studies, she sounded hopeful as she said that this will immensely help the students of KU in academic and modern research. It will be proven beneficial to sharpen their skills by working with modern-day scientific research equipment of CSSRI Labs. The students will excel in both personal and professional levels by understanding the present-day industry-standard works.
