BIHER and Ural Federal University Sign MoU for Summer Internship Programme

The Bharat Institute of Higher Education and Research has tied up with Ural Federation University in Russia to organise an International Summer Internship Programme. An online test had been conducted by the Institute, where out 150 students, 9 students had been selected for the programme.

BIHER Summer Internship Programme

To promote a better chance at employment for the engineering students, Bharat Institute of Higher Education and Research from Bharat University has come into a partnership with Ural Federal University, which is situated in Russia. BIHER, as per of the agreement, hosted an International Summer Internship Programme that had been held between 29th June 2019 to 30 July 2019. The programme had been organised for engineering students.

The Summer Internship programme had been organised with a motive of enhancing the employment opportunities among engineering students, sources state. They added that the programme was also aimed at building better relations, as well as help students understand and observe better relations with international communities.

To commence the partnership between the two educational institutes, a Memorandum of Understanding had been signed by them. Here are some of the areas of collaboration that will be undertaken by the institutes for various academic activities. The Institutes will;

  • Exchange faculty for the collective interest of the institutes.

  • Collaborate in teaching, consultancy studies and research & development in various fields of mutual interests

  • Lectures

  • Joint Research Activities

  • Employing existing staff for Curriculum Development and review

  • Undertaking various academic discourses like Seminars, Symposiums, etc

  • Jointly supervising students pursuing Masters

  • Organising joint consultancy work and study tours

Here’s What You Should Know About the BIHER International Summer Internship Programme

The summer internship programme which is hosted by the Bharat Institute of Higher Education and Research has been divided into three different phases. The three phases of the BIHER International Summer Internship Programme is as follows:

  • Phase 1: “Pre-Programme Departure”

The Institute will be organising a meeting with the participating students and their parents, informing them of different factors such as the students’ responsibility, safety, appropriate clothing according to the climate, currency, food, luggage and other important pieces of information.

  • Phase 2: “The Programme”

At this phase, the students learnt about the various challenges, opportunities and benefits of partaking in a study tour. They also partook in different industry visits and learnt about the different cultural experience of the country. Participating students were asked to present a report on the various findings they experienced through the study tour.

  • Phase 3: “Post-Tour Debriefing”

This phase was conducted as a promotional tool for future study tours that will be conducted by the Institutes. The new participants will be able to observe the experiences and outcomes of the students returning from the tour. This will help aspiring students to better understand what they will learn in international study tours.

In order to shortlist and select students for the International Summer Internship Programme, the Institute conducted an online aptitude test. The test had been conducted among 150 students, out of which a total of 9 students had been selected for the programme.

The management of Bharat Institute of Higher Education and Research will be taking care of all the finances for all the nine students and one faculty. Sources state that the management of BIHER will be using the funds collected for Career Development scholarships.

Offering students with the opportunity to visit international universities and industries provides them with the chance to adapt better to the global industry requirements. The Indian educational institutions have been undertaking in different partnerships that allow Indian students to visit other countries and learn about their cultures and the different requirements of those countries.
