The Medical Council of India just approved six medical colleges and has given the gift of new medical seats to the medical aspirants but there is a twist. The twist is that the students are not allowed to approach the law or court if there is any dispute. Students will have to sign an affidavit to promise the same.

These six new colleges have added 225 government seats in the mix and they are like hot cakes in the current ongoing counselling process.

The official website of the Karnataka Examinations Authority says that the students who are given admission in the colleges cannot claim any equity or approach the court if the approval of the MCI is cancelled or stayed or disputed. This decision is possibly taken by the authorities because of last year’s events.

Last year, a lot of students approached the court when the Sridevi Medical College’s MCI approval was not final. The court directed the state government to allot the students seats in the MCI approved college on the basis of their ranks.

An official of KEA confirmed that last year’s disputes forced MCI to implement the rule this year.

Despite all these rules and restrictions some students are ready to try out their luck as most of the students who are interested in taking these seats got admission in dental colleges. But they wanted admission in medical colleges.
