MS Dhoni Scholarship Launched by LPU for Skilled Cricketers
Indian cricket team captain Mahender Singh Dhoni will now garner praises for the scholarship launched by the cricketer in his name to promote budding cricketers at LPU.
Along with the biopic on the cricketer’s life, the Indian cricket team captain Mahender Singh Dhoni will now garner praises for the scholarship launched by the cricketer in his name to promote budding cricketers at the Lovely Professional University (LPU).
LPU introduced the scholarship on the name of Dhoni for gifted sportsperson that will motivate them to take up a career in professional cricket and go on to play for the Indian team. The scholarship will be for inter-university finalists, Ranji Trophy medalists, and international level cricket players.

This scholarship was launched by MS Dhoni on his recent visit to the LPU campus, Ludhiana. There is a total of five such scholarships that will be provided for three years at LPU.
At the scholarship launch event Dhoni said the there are ample of skilled sportsmen in India and they just need the motivation to go out and enhance their skills.
Tuition fee, accommodation expenses, and food charges will be the aspects covered in the scholarship. Students who are highly talented at playing cricket will be allowed to take a subject of their choosing at LPU. This course will be free of cost and all the facilities will be provided that are provided to the regular students.

Chancellor of LPU, Ashok Mittal said that India has progressed a lot in the domain of education and that our academic system is appreciated all over the world and that the same proficiency must be achieved in sports by providing scholarships to talented sportsmen.
