NCERT to Celebrate 56th Foundation Day on September 1
The chief guest for the celebrations is Union HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar.
National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) will celebrate 56th Foundation Day on September 1, 2016. The celebrations will take place at its campus on Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi. On this occasion, the Council will showcase what it has achieved in the past and what it proposes to do in future with respect to the implementation of programmes and policies of the government.

The Chief Guest for the celebrations will be Union HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar. The state HRD Minister, Shri Upendra Kushwaha will be the Guest of Honour.Dr. Subhash Chandra Khuntia, Union Secretary, Government of India will also attend the celebrations.

The celebrations will begin on a grand note. Various constituents of the Council at Delhi, Mysore, Ajmer, Bhopal, Shillong and Bhubaneshwar are going to display highlights of the activities carried out by them. Students of various regional educational institutions will present cultural programmes on the occasion.
The Director of NCERT Prof. Hrushikesh Senapaty and the Joint Director Prof. B. K. Tripathi will speak on various programmes launched, projects undertaken and new initiatives towards the improvement of quality in education under the central government.
