NEET 2017: CBSE to Appoint Experts for clarification of Incorrect Questions

CBSE has declared that the ambiguities and corrections regarding NEET 2017 exam will soon be clarified by subject experts. The board made the announcement after candidates and experts raised queries related to the four questions of the NEET 2017 exam that are being considered incorrect.

During the announcement made on May 10, the board also said that corrections will be done keeping the result in mind. NEET 2017 was conducted by CBSE on May 7 and more than 11 lakh medical aspirants appeared for the exam.

The candidates have contested that four of the questions are incorrect. According to reports, two of the questions have multiple correct answers, whereas, one question is ambiguous.

A physics teacher informed that the ambiguous question asked about the pair of compounds is isoelectronic and isostructural. The question if asked correctly would have been, ‘which one of the following compounds is isostructural and consists the same number of valence electrons?’.

A CBSE official reported that ambiguity is an academic issue and will be dealt with. Subject experts will soon look into the matter. The official answer key will be released in order to enable the candidates to challenge the incorrect questions. The schedule of answer key will be provided on the official website of the exam.

Various candidates have also reported that there was a difference in difficulty levels of the NEET exam conducted in different languages. The exam conducted in Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali were considered to be more difficult than the rest. The paper of English mode was considered to be easier than the rest of the languages.
