Dr. Pravin Shingare, Director at Directorate of Medical Education, Maharashtra expressed that the decision taken by UGC is positive and a right one. He indicated that some students keep on trying their luck and give up on enrolling into other programmes such as B.Sc courses. The restriction on the number of attempts will also hinder the faculty of coaching institutes and centres from taking the examination to understand the altering pattern of NEET.

The candidates are eagerly waiting for NEET 2017 notification. The notification has been delayed as various issues need to be sorted out. The notification will be out any moment from now.

In the year 2016, NEET replaced the All India Pre Medical Test or AIPMT.
