NSDC Plans to Widen Operations, Open Offices in 12 Cities
Labour capital plays a significant role in the growth and development. Additionally, human capital can be enhanced with skill development.
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has announced its plan to widen the operations by opening offices in 12 cities. Jayant Krishna, ED and COO of NSDC indicated that their main idea is to incentivize the high-performing training partners. On the other hand, non-performing partners will be warned or asked to exit.
He further added that their main focus is on the quality of programmes under the Skill India initiative. For this purpose, more robust evaluation and monitoring will be conducted to maintain the quality. On the other hand, the focus would also be laid on changes in funding guidelines, better industry connect, leveraging training partners for optimising the skill landscape and increased state government engagements.

He also explained that NSDC would work to build sustainable and profitable business models, making it a viable solution for partners.
Manish Kumar, CEO of NSDC pointed the challenges in the ecosystem and further said that only convergence and consistent collaboration could strengthen skill development initiatives in the country.

- Jaipur
- Mumbai
- Bhopal
