Students Can Now Give Special Supplementary Examination at Osmania University
Osmania University has decided to allow its students to attempt their supplementary examinations immediately if they have appeared for their final semester or final year examinations. This examination is also called as special supplementary examinations and will save one entire year for the students.
The administration of Osmania University has taken a decision that they will be allowing the students to clear their backlogs immediately. This special supplementary examination or make-up exam will be conducted for the final year or final semester students only.
Earlier, students had to wait an entire year to be able to clear the backlog papers. This caused problems for those students who had moved to out of India to pursue higher studies. They had been facing many issues regarding the validity of the visas. These students who had travelled to foreign countries had to wait an entire year before they could clear their backlogs. Even the University Foreign Relations Officer had made various representations for this matter.
Osmania University had examined the issue that was raised for the backlog papers and thus decided that they will be conducting the examinations for those students who have travelled abroad as well as those students who are local. The university will be conducting the special supplementary examinations for all the students of Osmania University, both from undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. This year, Osmania University plans to hold the supplementary examinations in the month of July, since the final semester examinations will be held in the month of May.

This feature of Osmania University was only available to the engineering students of the University, says Prof Sriram Venkatesh, who is the controller of examination at Osmania University. From now on, Osmania University has decided in introduce this feature for all the courses to help students clear their backlog exams.

Osmania University had previously brought in an online screen evaluation system which was applicable for all the courses related to MBA which was further extended to all the other courses later on. Another feature that they added was to help the PhD scholars to provide their PhD thesis online. In other words, PhD scholars could send their PhD thesis online to various evaluators.
