Registrations for B.Tech & Dual Degree Programmes at IIST to Begin from June 1

Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO has created a world record by sending 104 satellites into space on February 15, 2017. On this occasion, one of the officials of ISRO indicated that teamwork is the key factor in making the project a success. He also revealed that most of the team members of this launch were youth and achieving excellence in the process is a milestone in itself.

If the students are interested in working with ISRO, they need to complete a four-year B.Tech course in any stream. To make it easier, the candidates can easily bag a job in ISRO if they complete four-year B.Tech or five-year dual degree programmes from Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Trivandrum.

The candidates who complete various courses from IIST will be recruited by Department of Space (DoS) or Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). However, the recruitment of the candidates will be based on merit. The candidates need to maintain a minimum of 7.5 CGPA out of 10 in B.Tech or dual degree programmes.

IIST has announced the important dates for the admission to various courses. However, it is mandatory for the aspirants to clear JEE (Advanced) 2017 examination to seek admission in IIST. JEE (Advanced) 2017 will take place on May 21, 2017. The candidates who appear and qualify in JEE (Advanced) 2017 Examination will have to apply separately to IIST as it is not a part of the seat allotment under Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

The official notification for the admission to B.Tech and Dual Degree courses will be published on official website of IIST on April 30, 2017.

• SC/ ST/ PD (Male/ Female) - Rs. 300
