Student of P B Siddhartha College Won Medals in Para Athletics

Srujan a final year Arts student of P B Siddhartha College of Arts and Science secured Silver and Bronze medal in thePara-Athletics competitions conducted at Haryana from 26 to 30-March-2016. The college management conducted a press meet to congratulate the student on this occasion.

Dr.N.Srinivasa Rao, HOD of Physical Education Department gave the details regarding the achievements of Srujan. He mentioned , “Srujan has secured a Silver medal in 1500 meters running and a Bronze medal in 5000 meters running. He also achieved various medals and prizes in Interstate South zone competitions and various sports meets conducted by various Universities and colleges”. He said that, “The College has a special sports department where training is given to the skilled and interested students in sports. The college has special tracks for athletics like running, long jump, high jump etc., The college gives equal Importance to academics as well as sports”.

College Dean, N. Venkateswarlu said that “Students have brought various laurels to the college by participating in various sports meets and competitions”. He congratulated Srujan for his achievement.

Srujan said that “The physical education of the college has sent me for various competitions. the HOD of Physical education department has given excellent training and built self-confidence in achieving success”. He thanked the college management and the department of physical education for their continuous support and motivation. He also thanked his parents for their support. The press meet was attended by the college dean, Principal, HOD of the physical education department and others.
