TG EAMCET 2026 Toughest Shift:Telangana State Council for Higher Education concludes the TG EAMCET 2026 exam on May 11. What's more surprising is the difficulty level of the question paper this year. The exam authority has increased the difficulty level of questions compared to the previous years, and the toughness of questions is at par with the JEE Main exam. In 2025 as well, TGCHE maintained a similar difficulty level, but the 2024 and 2023 question papers were relatively easier. TG EAMCET 2026 was conducted in 6 shifts (with 2 shifts per day on May 9, 10 and 11). During CollegeDekho's YouTube live sessions on shift-wise paper analysis, many students indicated that the paper was 'Tough' with Mathematics turning out to be the toughest subject, followed by Physics.
After considering subject expert opinions and student reviews, we have prepared a detailed difficulty level rating for each shift and analyzed which was the toughest shift of TG EAMCET 2026. Inputs received from Chemistry subject matter expert Kurra Srinivasrao (who also took part in CollegeDekho's YT live session), Vinod Kumar (Physics lecturer) and Ragi Ramu (Mathematics lecturer) have been considered as well to provide a final verdict on the toughest shift.

Will the Toughest Shift of TG EAMCET 2026 impact Ranks?
Toughest shift of TG EAMCT 2026 will have minimal impact on the ranks, and the reasons for the same are explained below -- The scores are normalized in the EAMCET exam as the exam is usually conducted in multiple shifts. This is being done to ensure equal justice to students who took the toughest paper. Even though TGCHE takes enough measures to maintain a uniform difficulty level, the toughness of the question paper might vary across shifts accidentally. Therefore, the normalization process is implemented
- Once the scores are normalized, students might see an increase of 1-2 marks compared to what they scored during the exam. Therefore, the impact on ranks shall be minimal
- This year,TG EAMCET 2026 cutoff might increaseby 100-200 ranks due to the rise in the number of candidates registered for the exam. This year, 2,600 additional candidates registered compared to last year
- Overall, as per CollegeDekho's analysis,60 to 80 marks in TG EAMCET 2026are expected to be the deciding factor for B.Tech admission
