TSCHE to Conduct an Interactive Workshop on Higher Education
Telangana State Council of Higher Education is organising an interactive workshop on Higher Education Leadership. The workshop is a joint effort of TSCHE and British Council of India.
The Telangana State Council of Higher Education and the British Council of India are conducting a workshop of Higher Education Leadership and Strategic Approaches to Transforming Teaching and Learning.
Professor T Papi Reddy, TSCHE Chairman informed that the main aim of the new twinning workshop is to inculcate new changes as the higher education domain has undergone huge transformations since a decade. The expansion of higher education has led to the huge demand of professionals with management and leadership skills.
He further said that the resources have been declining due to which it is getting difficult, day by day, for colleges and universities to achieve their goals and increase their efficiency. As a result of that, it was decided to introduce the right kind of leadership teaching module in higher education. The workshop on Higher Education Leadership and Strategic Approaches to Transforming Teaching and Learning will help reshape higher education.

The interactive workshop on Higher Education will be conducted by the renowned Jo Chaffer, Associate Advance HE and Becky Smith, Assistant Director of the British Council.
According to Prof T Papi Reddy the interactive workshop will help the create relevant opportunities and form global connections. It will also open new avenues. The main participants in the workshop include Council Members of TSCHE, various Registrars of Telangana State Universities, Principal of Colleges and others.
Meanwhile, Navin Mittal, Commissioner of Collegiate Education said that the main agenda to revise the curriculum is because there has been a huge transformation in learning and technology which must be inculcated in the curriculum. Moreover, students should be imparted more job-oriented skills to increase their employability.

Manjula Rao, Director, Higher Education, British Council of India, Hyderabad talked about the contribution that the council will be making towards the programme.
