Universities & Colleges in Bangalore Might Reschedule UG Admission Timetables

Due to the assembly polls in five states, CBSE, ISC & ICSE have already rescheduled the dates of examination. In view of the same, various universities and degree colleges in Bangalore have to revise the dates of admission process as the board examinations of ICSE, ISE and CBSE will be completed in the mid of April.

One of the students of a CBSE school revealed that she had plans to pursue BBA in a reputed college in the city and if CBSE delays the results further, it will lead to confusion about applying for multiple universities.

One of the officials of Christ University revealed that they are going to reschedule the dates of the entrance examination as the previous date clashed with CBSE exam dates. He further added that students from Delhi and other major cities have been making calls to the varsity regarding the revised exam dates. He assured that the varsity would issue the revised exam dates soon.

An official of PES University explained that the entrance examination, i.e. PESAT would take place between May 2 and 20, 2017. He further added that the classes have to commence from August and there is no pressure on the varsity to carry out the admission process early. However, students might suffer as they will have less time to prepare for the entrance examination.

Geetha Mohan, Welfare Officer of Mount Carmel College stated that they need to change the dates of the admission process. However, nothing is certain yet, and the revised dates will be announced soon. Application forms for various courses will be issued only after the announcement of PU results.

Jain University is also conducting entrance exam for commerce courses for the first time. The delay in the exam dates will not have any impact on the admission process as the varsity reserved some of the seats for CBSE & ISC students. However, the commencement of academic year will get delayed.

One of the officials of CMR Institute of Management Studies indicated that the admission process would be delayed if the results of CBSE are delayed. Usually, CBSE announces Class XII examinations at the end, and they are expecting that it would not delay the results this year.
