Toughest Shift in JEE Main January 2023: National Testing Agency has concluded the JEE Main January 2023 (Session 1) exam on February 1. The exam was conducted in two different shifts where every shift had a different difficulty level of the question paper. Candidates looking to appear for JEE Main April 2023 (Session 2) must be looking to know the Session 1 difficulty level. The overall difficulty of the different shifts was nearly the same as moderate. Shift 1 was conducted between 9 AM to 12 PM and shift 2 was conducted between 3 PM to 6 PM. Below we have rated different shifts out of 3 based on the analysis received by the experts. That's the reason why we recommend considering the below-mentioned information for basic reference.

Toughest Shift in JEE Main January 2023 (Session 1)

While in most of the shift,  the overall difficulty level was moderate. But below we have highlighted the difficulty level of different shifts out of 3. The following data is based on one of the well-known institutes ‘Resonance’:

As per the above-mentioned table, all the shifts had similar overall difficulty levels however the 25th January 2023 Shift 1 section was difficult. The overall rating for the JEE Main 25th January 2023 shift 1 went up due to the difficulty level of the math section. Apart from that January 29- Shift 2 was the next most difficult shift compared to others followed by January 30- Shift 1. Most of the shift after the 29th January 2023 math section was lengthy. However, candidates do not have to worry about the difficulty level as NTA follows the normalization process while calculating the percentile.
