XLRI Delhi NCR Campus Gets AICTE Approval for 2020-22

XLRI-Xavier School of Management’s new Delhi-NCR campus has been approved by AICTE for the 2020-22 academic session. The intake of the programme is 120 which will be divided into 2 sections of 60 each. XLRI new academic session begins in online mode.

Management aspirants from Delhi-NCR will now be able to pursue their management courses from Xavier School of Management (XLRI) near the hometown from 2020-22 academic session as XLRI's Delhi NCR campus has now been formally approved by AICTE. In the first phase of admissions, two sections will be formed under the Business Management Programme, with a capacity of 60 students in each section. The admissions will be done for the batch of 2020-22. The new campus has been located at Jhajjar in Naurangpur. The new XLRI campus is 25 km away from Gurgaon and is also centrally connected to Gurgaon, Delhi, and Rewari.

The new academic session for both the Delhi NCR and XLRI campus has begun. 477 students joined MBA programmes. The induction was conducted for the Business Management Programme (PGDM-BM) with 181 students and Human Resource Management Programme (PGDM-HRM) with 181 students. The other courses include the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) with 15 students and Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EXEC-FPM) with 28 students. The new  XLRI Delhi-NCR welcomed 72 students in (PGDM-BM).

XLRI Jamshedpur's Director said that this is the first time that XLRI has inaugurated a batch online due to COVID-19. He also stated that the classes will begin online and the institute will ensure that the students are provided with a similar learning experience as the classrooms. XLRI will also conduct a special orientation programme on the virtual platform before the regular classes begin. The first-year students will also have to undertake a compulsory Village Exposure Programme and the Outbound Adventure programme. Both the programmes will be designed in such a manner that it will help the students become aware of the realities of rural India and also helps inculcate team spirit among the students.

The XLRI Jhajjar campus in Haryana is spread over 36.34 acres of land and is being set up with the state-of-the-art infrastructure, which can cater to the needs of 240 students, in Phase-1. A Gold-level Green Building Certification has been awarded to the new campus of XLRI. The new campus will offer a range of courses in the coming years including the regular, two-year post-graduate programs in HR management and business management PGDM HRM & PGDM BM. 15-months executive general management programme for executives with experience of more than five years and a fellowship program in management, FPM will also be offered.

The XLRI Haryana will be following the curriculum and pedagogy that is followed by XLRI Jamshedpur. Faculty of XLRI Jamshedpur will also conduct classes at XLRI Haryana. All admissions to the new campus will be based on the scores obtained in Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT). Those who clear the examination will be able to choose the campus they wish to take admission in.

Fr.George Sebastian, S.J, XLRI Delhi-NCR campus director said that roughly 95,000 students appear for XLRI entrance every year. With the starting of the Delhi-NCR campus, the institute can increase the intake of students to 600 students.
