Fresh entrants to B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. The verification of certificates of LLB 1st year students (last chance) will be done on 18 January 2023 from 11:00 am in the college campus. All the candidates must compulsorily get all types of certificates verified on the above date. Otherwise, their admission will be canceled automatically.

Detailed information about certificate verification will be available on the admission portal and Telegram channel. Accordingly, ensure your personal presence for verification on the scheduled date and time. In case of non-verification, your admission will automatically be canceled.

The ISDC admission portal for PG admissions is now live. The ISDC College cutoff for PG courses has been released on its official website on October 28, 2022. Aspiring students must visit the isdc.ac.in official website and click on the “Online admission for PG courses” or the “PG admission 2022”  tab. After that, they must check the PG cutoff and enter their PGAT roll number, date of birth, and their desired subject to log in. After filling in the ISDC admission form, they must upload all documents and process the ISDC fee payment for the PG application form.  The last date for filling out the Iswar Saran Degree College admission form for the BA, B.Sc, and, B.Com courses was October 15, 2022, and currently, the admission process for these courses is going on. 

Iswar Saran Degree College which is located at Allahabad in the State of Uttar Pradesh is considered to be one of the most prominent academic institutions in the region. This college was established in the year 1970 and now offers both postgraduate and undergraduate courses in several streams. There is no hostel facility provided by the college as of now. It was founded under the guidance of Harijan Sevak Sangh, an organization founded by a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi, the Late Munshi Iswar Saran. It is a quasi-government institution that offers students all the amenities which are required to excel in the field of education. Iswar Saran Degree College, a premier constituent college of the University of Allahabad came into existence in 1970 under the aegis of Harijan Sewak Sangh founded by the late Munshi Iswar Saran, a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. The bonding and association of the late Munshi Ji with Mahatma Gandhi were so strong that he visited the campus twice which accorded the heritage significance to our institution.

Later on, as a tribute to its founder, the society was renamed Iswar Saran Ashram. In its initial phase, the Arts Faculty started with ten subjects but within a couple of years, two more subjects– Medieval and Modern History and Philosophy were also included. The successful growth and development of the institution encouraged the management to approach the University to seek affiliation for B.Com which was sanctioned in 1976. Science Faculty with B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science was added in 1994. The college gradually and steadily expanded its horizon by introducing B.Sc. in Bio–groups in the year 2000 followed by various other certificate courses. Iswar Saran Degree College offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. ISDC Allahabad admission to UG courses is based on the CUET exam and done through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). Iswar Saran Degree College admission to PG courses is offered based on Allahabad University Post Graduate Admission Test followed by a personal interview. As per the ISDC Allahabad PG admission criteria, 50% of the total seats are filled based on the merit of the qualifying exam and the remaining seats are filled based on rank in the entrance test. Prof. Pramila Srivastava Memorial Library

The ISDC Allahabad Facilities has a separate newly built Library building having nearly Sixty thousand books and regular subscription of Ninety-three international and national journals; twenty-one magazines and daily newspapers. It caters to the needs of more than 6000 students at undergraduate, postgraduate, and Research levels. The Library services are fully automated. The Library has reading halls on the ground floor. One Reading hall is for UG students and the other for PG & Research students. The reading halls can accommodate two hundred fifty students. E-Library having 20 latest systems is fully functional for Research Scholars to access the e-resources.

The Library uses the SOUL 3.0 – Library Management Software. The software is used for Cataloguing, Classification, Circulation, etc. The Library is well equipped with all the modern facilities and resources (print and electronic) in the forms of CDROMs, DVD-ROM, books, journals, etc. The library remains open on all working days from 9 AM to 5 PM. To become a member, students should fill and submit a prescribed membership form to the library.

Reference Library hall is situated in the main building. It is exclusively for Teachers and Research Scholars. This section has a seating capacity of 50 users. This section collects and manages Reference Books, Encyclopedias, Journals, Periodicals, Newsletters, Bulletins, Reports Seminar proceedings, etc. All these documents contain the latest information on current developments in a branch of knowledge. The Iswar Saran Degree College Facilities for the library is making every effort to procure the maximum journals on the subject being taught in the college.
