Murshidabad Adarsha Mahavidyalaya (MAM) was established in 1981. MAM is a fully government-aided college located in Islampur, Murshidabad, West Bengal. The college offers undergraduate courses in Arts. MAM is affiliated with the University of Kalyani. The UGC recognised the college under 2(F) and 12(B) and as per these grants, the college is declared fit to receive central financial assistance.  

In 1977, the Government of India decided to establish new colleges in West Bengal to spread higher education throughout various places in West Bengal. The Government established 24 colleges and Murshidabad Adarsha Mahavidyalaya is one of them. 

Murshidabad Adarsha Mahavidyalaya has a large campus with state-0f-the art facilities. It has spacious classrooms, a computer lab, a geography lab, a campus lawn, a library, a canteen, a virtual classroom, a student's union room, and an open auditorium.
