Prime Group of Institutions (PIET) is a private engineering college established in 2016 by the Smt. Nirmalan Devi Rukmani Devi Trust. It is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad. Not only that but the institute is approved by AICTE (Ministry of HRD, Government of India). 

PIET courses include 5 B.E. courses in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. Prime College of Diploma offers 5 diploma courses in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Architectural Assistantship. 

Prime Institute of Engineering and Management campus is spread over 12 acres. It has all the facilities necessary for technical education. The faculties are highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated. Separate hostels are allocated to boys and girls. Each department has a separate well-equipped laboratory. College canteens provide the students with fresh and hygienic food. 

PIET Surat placement invites various leading companies from different sectors to ensure the placement of each student. It also arranges for several training programs and workshops to groom students to make themselves competent for the jobs.

Prime Group of Institution placement cell undertakes some other activities to ensure placement of students like pre-placement visits (PPV) to the companies,  networking, and relationship building with the potential recruiters, arranging for PersonalityDevelopment, Soft-Skill, and  Performance Effectiveness program and training of the Students, Vocational or Summer Training of the students at various industries and research institutes. For competitive examinations and other educational options abroad, preparatory programs are organized. Students’ Placement Committees are formed for final placement and also for providing industrial training and industry-linked project work for students.

PIET Placement cell organizes many campus interviews by inviting various companies in the college. Placement programs are continued till each student gets a job. PIET Campus has a number of airy and spacious lecture halls with the latest teaching aids like overhead projectors, LCD multimedia aids, etc. Apart from a well-stocked central library, PIET has Department wise Book Bank facility that enables students to borrow 6 books at a time. There are well-equipped laboratories for Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.

PIET has a professional Communication Lab to improve the language and communication skills of students. It has a modern Computer Lab too. Separate hostels are there for girls and boys. In the hostel, there is a separate room for each student with a cupboard, study desk, and bed. Students are also provided hygienic breakfast, lunch, and dinner from the college mess. A transport facility is available. The college arranges for brand new buses that covers almost all areas across Surat and Surat.
