In 1995, the Institute developed the ‘Central Computer Centre’ as one of its premier ‘Central Learning Resource Centres’. It is the core of the SVNIT Surat computing resources as well as the foundation of the Institute's internet connectivity. The ‘Central Computer Centre’ primarily handles internet access and campus-wide network connectivity for academic and administrative departments and dormitories, and staff quarters.

Wireless access has been provided throughout the SVNIT Surat campus academic zone, including all departments, labs, workshops, the ‘Central Computer Centre’, the library, the hostels, and the canteen, all of which are managed centrally from the ‘Central Computer Centre’. Individual login ids are offered to users, including students and staff, who may use the workstations for email, internet surfing, and general-purpose programming.
