Agastya Jaiswal from Hyderabad is a true gem with unique qualities and abilities. The child prodigy has outperformed students older than him and has cleared the class 12 examinations at the age of 11.
Ashwani Kumar, the proud father of Agastya, informed that his son passed the intermediate second-year examination and secured 63% marks. Ashwani added that his son has set a record and is Hyderabad’s first student to have cleared class 12 exam at such a young age.
Agastya is currently studying at the St Mary’s Junior College, Yousufguda. He appeared for class 12 exams in March 2017. The result of the exam was declared on April 16, 2017.
In 2015, Agastya cleared the SSC examination when he was merely 9 years old. His father said that Agastya had asked the Telangana SSC Board to grant him permission in order to appear for the exam.
Ashwini also added that students don’t need permission to appear for the intermediate exams, therefore, his son was able to write the class 12 exams without any administrative issue.
According to an official of the Board of Intermediate Education, students who wish to appear for the class 12 exam don’t have to qualify any age or education criteria.
The official added that students can appear for the class 12 exam by providing information related to the subjects they have opted, the medium of instruction as well as the second language. Rest of the details are collected from the data provided by the SSC.
