In view of the recent irregularities in the examination work of the Shivaji University, the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has submitted over 30 recommendations to improve the examination-related work.
Representatives of the organisation met with vice-chancellor Devanand Shinde and handed over the memorandum of recommendations. The memorandum says that the exam department is struggling for the past three years to draw engineering results without any error.
The issues related to photocopies, out-of-syllabus questions and not getting question papers on time are some of the issues which are happening often. For such issues not only the colleges, but the university too is responsible, the memorandum says.
Vaidy Said," The decisions taken by the board of examinations should be made public. He said that SUK should look into their recommendations to improve the efficiency of the exam department and that of the university.
Statement -
"The Communication gap between the college officials and the university is resulting in errors in the university's functioning. The central assessment programme (CAP) centres do not follow discipline at their end. Also, there are no inspections by the exam department at such CAP centres."
