This reimbursement process begins automatically after the entire counseling process concludes.
01 40 PM IST - 28 May'26
Explaining the Strict No Downward Sliding Rule for Upgrade Requests
A fundamental rule of the upgrading process is that allocated choices can never move down to a lower-priority preference. For example, if you are assigned your 3rd choice during Round 1, the upgrade engine in subsequent rounds will only look at vacancies in your 1st and 2nd choices. The system will never move you down to choices 4, 5, or 6, ensuring your baseline allocation remains fully protected.
01 20 PM IST - 28 May'26
Understanding the Timeline and Registration Re-opening Window for Round Two
If you do not receive an allocation in Round 1 on June 1, or if you missed the initial registration window entirely, you still have an option to participate. Initial Seat Acceptance: This requires paying a partial tuition fee of Rs. 1,00,000/- by June 08 to secure your assigned seat and stay eligible for upward upgrades.
Final Admission Confirmation: This involves paying the remaining balance tuition fees and the one-time caution deposit, which officially finalizes your enrollment and concludes your counseling cycle.
12 00 PM IST - 28 May'26
Detailed Look into the Automated Seat Re-allocation Engine Design
The backend matching engine uses a systematic algorithm to distribute seats based on merit ranks. The software reads each candidate's profile list starting from preference 1 down to preference 60. The moment it hits a campus-branch stream that has an open slot matching the student's rank and fee slab settings, it issues a provisional allocation. The system then stops processing that profile for the current round, securing the best possible match from the student's list.
11 40 AM IST - 28 May'26
Clear Instructions for Uploading Non-English Reserved Category Certificates
For candidates applying under specialized SC or ST reserved categories, check your uploaded community documents carefully. The handbook specifies that certificates must be written in English. All choice modifications must be executed through the authenticated student dashboard before the editing window closes.
09 20 AM IST - 28 May'26
How to Interpret the Provisional Fee Slab Markers on Your Trial Allotment Slip?
When reviewing your trial results today, look closely at the fee tier listed next to your allocated branch. If your profile displays an allocation under Slab 1 or Slab 2, it indicates your competitive merit rank has qualified for an institutional scholarship subsidy. If the system assigns Slab 3, 4, or 5, your annual costs will adjust according to the standard non-subsidized rates designated for that campus.
09 00 AM IST - 28 May'26
Technical Requirements Defined for accessing the Student Dashboard Securely
To log in smoothly and minimize session drops when checking the mock results today, candidates should ensure their web browsers meet the system requirements. The CSAP portal operates optimally on updated versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. Additionally, because every login attempt requires an OTP verification code, make sure the registered mobile phone is within a strong cellular coverage area to prevent authentication delays.
08 40 AM IST - 28 May'26
How the Portal Logic Handles Blank Academic Preference Submissions?
The automated seat assignment engine cannot process a student profile that does not contain any active academic combinations. According to the handbook guidelines, a candidate must input at least one specific campus and branch stream choice to successfully save their registration profile. Leaving the preference dashboard entirely blank will result in the profile being excluded from both the mock trial and regular seat allocations.
08 20 AM IST - 28 May'26
Understanding the Official Single Source of Truth for Closing Rank Trends
With mock updates arriving today, students are reminded to ignore third-party rumors or unverified rank cutoff lists circulating on social platforms. No separate print letters or physical rank cutsheets will be sent to homes.
08 00 AM IST - 28 May'26
What Happens if a Candidate Misses the Initial Document Upload Timelines?
The university maintains a strict data policy regarding incomplete student profile dashboards. If an applicant fails to upload their mandatory Class 12 mark sheets or entrance scorecard files within the designated timeline, their seat allocation window will lock automatically. The portal logic marks the profile as incomplete, preventing the system from reading that student's preference list during the active allotment cycle.
07 40 AM IST - 28 May'26
Digital Document Submission Norms Prescribed for Native State Quota Benefits
To successfully lock in the localized home-state reservation benefits, specific educational verification steps must be satisfied. The system tracks your state eligibility purely based on the physical location of the school where you completed your Class 11 and Class 12 studies. The processing of all such files takes place exclusively after the conclusion of the final counseling round.
03 00 AM IST - 28 May'26
Policy Clarified on Retaining Seats across Consecutive Sliding Procedures
A common query among applicants is whether selecting the "Upgrade" option puts their existing seat allocation at risk. The automated counseling logic guarantees that if a student is assigned a lower choice (such as preference 5) in an initial round and completes the initial deposit of Rs. 1,00,000/-, that baseline seat remains securely reserved for them. If no open slots appear in higher-ranked choices during subsequent evaluations, the candidate is safely reassigned their original preference without any penalty.
02 00 AM IST - 28 May'26

Strict Regulations Released Governing Institutional Upgrades During Mop Up Round
The final regular phase of seat distributions is the Mop-Up Round, scheduled for publication on June 24, 2026. The official handbook clarifies that only candidates who have already paid their full institutional fees and submitted their caution deposits will be factored into the automated upward-sliding pool during the Mop-Up stage, provided vacant slots remain. If an upgrade is successfully triggered here, any fee differences across campuses or slabs must be cleared immediately within specified deadlines. There will be no further branch or campus upgrades allowed after the Mop-Up allotment round concludes.
08 30 PM IST - 27 May'26
Absolute Disqualification Traps To Avoid During The Seat Acceptance Phase
A candidate's provisionally allocated seat will be instantly canceled by the automated counseling system if they fail to complete their required fee clearings within the university's strict timelines. Specifically, missing the June 08 deadline to submit the initial partial tuition fee of Rs. 1,00,000/- results in immediate expulsion from the counseling portal. Such candidates face absolute disqualification and are completely barred from participating in any subsequent regular sliding rounds.
08 00 PM IST - 27 May'26
The Automated Choice Upgrade Engine Rules For Round Two Counselling
When Round 2 allotment results go live on June 12, 2026, the online processing engine automatically executes upgrade requests for eligible profiles. Candidates who paid their initial Rs. 1,000,000/- fee in Round 1 are evaluated for higher-priority preferences based on seat vacancies. The algorithm operates on a strict top-down model; preferences can only slide upward toward your first choice. An applicant assigned their 4th choice can slide to choices 1, 2, or 3, but the system will never move them down to lower choices like 5 or 6.

Understanding Refund Conditions For The Five Thousand Rupee CSAP Registration Fee
The initial CSAP entry registration fee of Rs. 5,000/- is generally non-refundable. If a candidate is offered a seat matching any of their submitted academic preferences across Round 1, Round 2, or the Mop-Up round, the registration fee will not be returned under any circumstances—even if the student decides to reject the seat offer. The Rs. 5,000/- fee is refunded only if the candidate remains completely unallotted across all preferences up until the conclusion of the Mop-Up round.

Severe Financial Penalties Applied If Annual CGPA Fall Below Thresholds
If a scholarship student fails to meet their designated academic renewal criteria, they will be demoted to more expensive tuition brackets. For a Slab 1 student, the structural escalation rules apply as follows:
CGPA sliding between 6.5 and 7.0: The student is forced to pay Fee Slab 2 rates the following year.
CGPA sliding between 6.0 and 6.5: The student is demoted to Fee Slab 3 rates.
CGPA falling below 6.0: The student must pay full regular Fee Slab 4 rates. Crucially, if a student drops to a higher fee slab, they can never move back to their cheaper original slab, even if their CGPA improves later on.
07 00 PM IST - 27 May'26
Core Registration Fee Refund Safeguards For Unallotted Applicants
The university outlines distinct refund protections regarding the baseline Rs. 5,000/- CSAP counseling registration fee based on your allocation status:
The Allocation Rule: If an applicant is offered a seat matching any of their submitted preferences across Round 1, Round 2, or the Mop-Up round, the Rs. 5,000/- registration fee is strictly non-refundable—even if the student chooses to reject the offer.
The Unallotted Rule: The registration fee is fully refundable only if the candidate remains completely unallotted across all their listed preferences through the end of the final Mop-Up round
06 40 PM IST - 27 May'26
Refund Conditions Extracted For Initial Partial Deposits Post Counseling
The university handbook states that if a student completes the initial partial tuition payment of Rs. 1,00,000/- to secure a seat but ultimately fails to clear the remaining balance fees before the close of all counseling rounds, their initial deposit remains refundable. To retrieve these funds, the candidate must submit a formal written request through the official channels. Under these circumstances, the candidate completely forfeits the allocated seat and cannot claim it under the pretext of making a late payment.
06 30 PM IST - 27 May'26
Merit Scholarship Renewal Rules Depend Heavily On Consistent CGPA Metrics
Securing a highly subsidized tuition fee tier (Slab 1, 2, or 3) during the initial allotment holds true strictly for the first academic year (2026-27). To retain these merit scholarships in subsequent years, students must consistently hit rigorous academic standards. For instance, a student placed in Fee Slab 1 must maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 7.0 or above at the conclusion of each academic year, ensure every single semester is cleared with zero arrears, and keep a clean disciplinary profile.
06 20 PM IST - 27 May'26
Protection Protocols For Retaining First Round Allocations During Round Two
A core feature built into the Centralised Seat Allotment Process software ensures candidate security between distribution rounds. If the automated algorithm evaluates your profile during Round 2 but finds no open vacancies in your higher-ranked preferences, it applies a retention protocol. The system automatically carries forward your verified first-round seat allocation into the new round, ensuring your secured choice remains fully protected.

This caution deposit is collected as a one-time transaction during final admission confirmation alongside the balance tuition fees.
06 00 PM IST - 27 May'26
Consequences Of Missing Final Balance Tuition Fee Payment Deadlines
Candidates who are successfully allocated or upgraded to a seat during the second counseling phase must pay close attention to payment deadlines. According to the handbook instructions, failure to submit the full remaining tuition balance within the specified dates will lead to the immediate cancellation of the admission offer. Missing this deadline means the applicant is permanently removed from the CSAP system and cannot request reinstatement later.
