Agitated students of government ITI at Makhupura on Tuesday, 20 December 2016 locked down the main gate of the institution protesting over the institute's move charging fees for declaring the result of back papers. Students with back papers are not getting their results even after last three years. They also burnt tyre on the main road and blocked the Ajmer-Nasirabad road for a while. Some of the students tried to completely block the main road but the police stopped them.

Due to the delay in declaring the results students have not been able to apply for different competitive examinations. Following the information of the students' protest, Adarsh Nagar police arrived on the spot and tried to pacify the agitating students. On the other hands, ITI administration stated that the matter comes under the Director of Technical Education Jodhpur and they are responsible for that.
Students of the institute written their examination for their certificate course in different streams of industrial training. Frustrated over the delay of their result the students lost their temper and bunked their classes. They gathered inside the premises of the institute and started sloganeering against the authority of institute. Later they came out on the main public road locking the main gate of the premises.

Students allege that they have to fill up the application form for the post of loco pilots in Indian railways and take other competitive examinations, but they cannot apply for the posts as they have no mark sheets to prove their eligibility.
One of the agitating students said that they have submitted the fees of back paper in 2014 but, till now they have not got the results of their back paper. They are very much worried about their future career. The agitating students also gave a memorandum demanding action in this matter to the divisional commissioner of Ajmer.
