With an objective to create a platform where students from across the country can come together to interact, share and ignite their ideas, Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi organised 'AGON', a management fest on September 23 & 24, 2017. The two-day management fest included 24 events and 8 clubs of IIM Ranchi.
This year, the management fest of the premier b-school witnessed the participation of 40 industry experts and corporate leaders who interacted with more than 200 participants/ students from renowned b-schools across the country like IIM Indore, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, XLRI, MDI etc.

One of the major highlights of ‘AGON’ was ‘Open Outcry’ that was organised by the Finance Club of IIM Ranchi. The main objective of the event/ competition was to enable the participants to carry out a traditional way of trading. The competition provided a great empirical experience to the participants since it involved both buying and selling activities. The participants who took part in this competition had come up with creative strategies for winning the competition.

‘Cricket Mandi’ was one of the interesting competitions that witnessed the participants playing the role of IPL Manager and bid for their players. A case study event was also organised on the theme ‘Food Waste Management’. Two teams from IIM Ranchi bagged the first and second spots through their fabulous presentations. A business plan competition was organised by E-Cell of IIM Ranchi that saw the participation of students from renowned b-schools.
