AICTE and Taiwan Sign a Pact for Academic Collaboration

All India Council of Technical Education has joined hands with Taiwan to provide Indian students with International opportunities. This will help the students in gaining the required training and the hands-on experience that today's Top IT companies require. 

AICTE and Taiwan Sign a Pact for Academic Collaboration

A collaboration has been formed between the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and Taiwan so as to promote collaboration in terms of academics between Indian and Taiwan. The collaboration was brought in by the education division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India (TECC). The collaboration has been designed to focus on providing the Indian students with opportunities internationally along with improving cooperation of industry and academics in both the countries, i.e. India and Taiwan. AICTE will be facilitating the collaboration between the Indian and Taiwanese Universities. However, the requirements of each university will differ, therefore, the MoUs will be signed as per the requirements.

The P&A advisor at AICTE Dr Rajiv Kumar states that there has been a growing need for skilled graduates in today’s top IT companies in India such as Infosys and TCS. He further adds that Taiwan has been famous for its industries in Information and Communication Technologies as well as the smart machines which will help the Indian students who choose to study in the Universities of Taiwan and give them the required experience both practically and theoretically in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, ML as well as 3D painting and many more fields of study.

In total, there are around 2400 students studying at the different universities of Taiwan which include technical as well as non-technical universities. Out the total number of students studying in Taiwan, more than 1200 students have chosen to pursue both, their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, over 600 students have been admitted at the universities of Taiwan under the faculty-student exchange programme, meanwhile, Almost 550 students are pursuing a course in Mandarin, states the Chung Kwang Tien who is the ambassador at the TECC. He further adds that Indian students are being trained in different fields of study in such a way that they are able to develop the technologies and bring the same to India.

Tien also adds that they have added different Taiwan education centres in different institutions as well as universities such as the Indian Institute of Technology Madaras, OP Jindal Global University as well as Jamia Millia Islamia among many others. These education centres focus on providing the students with a basic education in Mandarin as well as teach the Indian students about the Chinese culture.
