As per the qualifying requirement, candidates must get 25% in each section and 40% in aggregate. In other terms, candidates must get 12.5 marks in Section A out of 50 (25%), and 37.5 marks in Section B out of 150 marks (25%), and 12.5 marks out of 50 in both Section C, and D (25%), i.e, 75 in total and to meet the 40% aggregate requirement, candidates need to score 45 marks more, i.e., 120 marks out of 300 to pass the exam. Therefore,
120 marks
fulfill both criteria and are the AISSEE minimum passing marks for Class 6.

In other terms, candidates must get 50 marks in Section A out of 200 (25%), and 12.5 marks in Section B, C, D, and E out of 50 each (25%), i.e., 100 in total and to meet the 40% aggregate requirement, candidates need to score 60 marks more, i.e., 160 marks out of 400 to pass the exam. Therefore, 160 marks fulfill both criteria and are the AISSEE minimum passing marks for Class 9.
