NTA has announced that the AISSEE Sainik School Exam 2026 will be held on January 18, 2026, for granting admissions to Classes 6 and 9 in Sainik Schools across India. The last date to apply is November 9, 2025. The exam will be conducted in offline OMR mode based on the NCERT syllabus.

NTA Announces AISSEE 2026 Exam Date for Sainik School: The exam date of All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) 2026 has been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam will be held on January 18, 2026 (Sunday) . The NTA has also released a revised schedule for fee payment for online application submission and corrections. AISSEE is a national-level entrance examination held once every year for granting admission to classes 6 and 9 in Sainik Schools across India, which are controlled by Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence.

The purpose of the entrance exam is to prepare young students for a career in the Armed Forces by providing quality education and military training. The exam tests the candidate's knowledge of academics, logical thinking, and skills in important subjects.

As per the revised schedule, the last date for submitting the admission form has been extended up to November 09, 2025 (5:00 P.M.) , while the window for payment of fee will remain open till November 10, 2025 (11:50 P.M.) .  The application correction window will remain open from November 12 to 14, 2025 . Candidates may make necessary changes in the application form  on the official site: exams.nta.nic.in.

AISSEE 2026 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Here are the details related to the AISSEE 2026 Exam Pattern and Syllabus:
  • AISSEE 2026 will take place in offline mode (OMR-based) and will be a Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) exam.

  • The subjects are Mathematics, Intelligence, Language, and General Knowledge for Class 6.

  • Mathematics, Intelligence, English, General Science, and Social Science are the topics for Class 9.

  • The AISSE exam will last for 2½ hours for Class 6 and 3 hours for Class 9.

  • Bilingual question paper (in English and Hindi) based on the NCERT syllabus of Classes 5 & 8.

Candidates should download their admit card from the NTA website when it is released and check all the particulars carefully. They should report to the centre one hour before the reporting time and bring a printout of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof. Use of mobile phones, calculators, electronic gadgets, or written notes etc, is strictly prohibited in the examination hall. Candidates are requested to adhere to the instructions given on the admit card/information bulletin for conducting the examination with ease.
