Andhra Pradesh Govt. Approves 10 New Degree Colleges

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a positive step by granting approval to ten new degrees colleges. A proposal was made by representatives of various constituencies to set up government degree colleges in their region. In addition, there is a shortage of government degree colleges in Andhra Pradesh, as there are only a limited number of colleges across various districts.

The new government degree colleges will start functioning from the upcoming academic session (2019-20). The representatives of respective constituencies must send proposals for total expenditure to be incurred for setting up new government degree colleges, the requirement of faculty and others.

New Degree Colleges Approved by AP Government

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has approved the new government degree colleges in the following locations –

Until the construction of the permanent campus for these colleges, the state government will run these colleges from a temporary campus. The state government will appoint faculty for these colleges.

The list of courses, which will be offered by these colleges, is yet to be finalised. However, Arts, Science and Commerce courses to be common. The specialisations offered in these streams will be finalized soon. The list of courses and admission process will be updated here soon.
