The High Court of Andhra Pradesh issued orders to postpone AP LAWCET 2016 counselling. The decision has been taken after a law college in Tirupati filed a petition. The petition clearly indicated that the Bar Council of India (BCI) did not inspect the colleges. The officials of the college mentioned that the college had paid the fee for the inspection. It has been eight months, and the inspection was not done.
The BCI did not inspect most of the law colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The HC mentioned that the counselling would be taken up only after the inspection of law colleges by the Council. The LAWCET Counselling is scheduled to commence from September 7, 2016. The revised schedule of the counselling is likely to be declared by Saturday, i.e., September 3, 2016.

The fee structure for the law courses is also not finalised by the government. It may take two to three days to finalise the fee structure.
