Andhra Pradesh School Holiday Update 19 August 2025:
In a review meeting conducted by AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu on August 18 directed that respective district collectors declare school holidays based on the rain conditions. On August 17 and 18, there were heavy rains in various parts of Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, the water flow at the Krishna River has increased, leading to submergence of certain regions located in and around the Krishna district. On August 19, the school holiday was declared in three districts, viz., Srikakulam, Parvathipuram and Manyam districts.
On August 20, there is a chance of rain in three districts, namely Alluri Sitaramaraju, NTR, and Eluru districts.
If there is a flood-like condition in the NTR district due to rising water flow in the Krishna River, a holiday might be expected in certain coastal areas of the respective district.

Here is the list of possible districts where school holidays could be possible due to heavy rains. The weather conditions might change and turn back to normal as well. Students are advised not to believe any rumours about the school holiday on August 20 and wait for the official update. District collectors will be the final authority to take a call on school holidays.
