Andhra University is launching a new management college which is going to be at par with other top b-schools of the country. The popular university already has an MBA department under its College of Commerce and Management. The new course which will be launched at the university will have its own funding, board and faculty and will offer the best management education to those who enroll in the course.
The Vice-Chancellor of the Andhra University, N Nageswara Rao stated that the AU will be one of the first in the country to launch a new MBA programme which will not be a part of an existing department. The new programme will have the design, structure, curriculum, methodology very similar to the IIMs and other top management institutes in the country.

The new programme will either be moved to IIM Visakhapatnam or will have its own campus. The university will be granted Rs. 20 crore from the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) for starting the programme. AU is among the 10 universities in the country which are selected for a Rs.100 crore funding.

As of now, the intake of the new course will be 60 and admissions will be on the basis of Common Admission Test. The new management institute will have its own faculty and the recruitment for the same will begin soon. Andhra University will also bring in faculty members from abroad to keep pace with the quality of education and provide its students' a global exposure.
